Fruit for the Yarra Valley Shiraz comes from our home vineyard, Siwa. There are multiple Shiraz plantings and we selected a handful of parcels to blend together to showcase each block’s unique characteristics. The grapes were handpicked and, once in the winery, were either fermented traditionally (destemmed) or as 100% whole bunches with regular pump overs. After pressing, the wine was run to barrel for 8 months, with rack and returns employed as necessary and all parcels were kept separate until blending.
